May- Mai-Manniliut

Tuesday, May 23rd, 2006

The month of May is already coming to an end. We have had many birthday announcements in the Tusarvik website and I'm sure we can have more good news. Let me know of birthdays, new borns, first goose, first fish, anyone winning lottery, someone going on vacation, etc… The more people give us news, it will be more interesting for all of us:)

A First Inuit Vegetable Garden in Dorval

Thursday, May 18th, 2006

P1010027.JPGP1010028.JPGA First Inuit Vegetable Garden in Dorval
Eva Eetok and her partner have been working hard ploughing their back yard all this spring to make a garden. Just last week they started planting and if everything grows well, we her neighbours (Harriet, Ann, etc.) looking forward to feasting on all the fresh vegetables (peppers, eggplant, tomotoes, lettuce, cauliflower, leek, onions…. There are also strawberries, blueberry bushes and several fruit trees. We are all closely watching the garden grow and working up an appetite!
