Annie Novalinga celebrated her 23rd birthday on October 29. Annie is the daughter of Emily and James Novalinga from Puvirnituq. As kids growing up in Kangiqsualujjuaq in Northern Quebec; we would go trick or treat and we all would be on sugar high the next day. As an adult now, I feel sorry for the teachers on November 1st, they will deal with all the students on sugar high the day after or even days after Halloween. One activity we looked forward to after the trick or treat was and still is; anyone who wants to put on a costume can do so and go to the gym and try their best not to be recognized and have an original costume. We have few winners for: best costumes, someone we don't recognize, someone who makes people laugh. Happy and safe Halloween to all the kids and adults!!
