October is the month where Caribou males will fight each other to get the female. It is the mating season. The meat has strong taste indicating it's mating time, they get the smell from the pee.

Octobre est le mois ou les caribou mâles se bat pour avoir la femelle. C'est la saison des amours.  La viande de caribou sent fort indiquant que c'est la saison des amours, ils sentent fort  a cause du pipi.

    Hi Gillian, I like caribou meat at this time of the year. My mom has special ways to make it yummy. My aunt told me that it’s still tasting good this week so I should have a mamartuq tuttuviniq that my mom send thru Sophie :)
