It seems not long ago that we were celebrating the birth of JesusChrist in Kangiqsualujjuaq. It has already been  three months the new year started. What do we call it now since it is 3 months old? In human life years do we call it pre-teen years? teenager years? Ah well, it is March and the warm weather is on it's way. We will have beautiful spring sunny warm days ahead of us before the summer heat attacks us. I wonder what lies for each of us this spring and summer this year.

Il me semble que ça ne fait pas longtemps qu'on a célébrie la naissance de Jésus Christ à Kangiqsualujjuaq. Ça fait déja trois mois que la nouvelle an a commencée. Comment on l'appel car l'année a trois mois déja? Comme la vie des humains on dit tu pré-adolescense? l'adolescense? Mais, c'est le mois de mars et la température chaud arrive bientôt. On va avoir des belles journées de printemps ensoleillé dans pas longtemps avant que les gros chaleurs de l'été nous attaque. Je me demande qu'est ce qui va se passer avec chacun  de nous autres cette printemps et l'été.

Ice fishing on a beautiful Saturday at Tasikallaapik. An hour drive south of Akilasakallak or known as Kangiqsualujjuaq. We started out with having tea and bannick before we fished. I took my time and just enjoyed the outdoors and the fire while the others went fishing. Walking to join the women fishing, about ten minutes after I put the hook in the water I cought a nice trout. At the end of our fishing trip I cought four trouts. I went there with Isabelle as her passenger and on our way back I was the passenger in my mom's sled. I woke up with a backache this morning, ouchy oucha. There were so many bumps so the ride was rough. A nice day ending with raclette supper eating fish, caribou, chicken, petoncle, shrimps and vegetables. Good company, good music= dancing at the end of the night.

Amanda Baron daughter of Annie Baron and Alain Rochefort, sister of Qirniulau was born on March 6th 1991 at 12:28 pm at Ungava Tulattavik hospital in Kuujjuaq, Nunavik. She weight 7 lbs 12 ounces. Sarah Pasha Annanack cut the umbilical cord so she is the sanajik of Amanda. Happy 16th birthday Amanda!!
