Auberge aux 3 canards in Pointe au Pic is a beautiful auberge. It has a very good restaurant with beautiful view of St-Lawrence river. It's a nice get away place for couple or family who wish to leave the rush of city life.

I got to enjoy my last weekend in Québec city with my wonderful friend Jérôme. We visited the Casino de Charlevoix and I spend ten whole dollars in ten minutes.

 There is this small place where you can buy chocolate. It's in the city of Les Éboulements. You can actually see the people making the chocolate in there. A must see and visit for chocolate lovers.

Baie St-Paul is a beautiful place where you go downtown and you shop for souvenirs and there are many art galeries with beautiful paintings. A must for art lovers.

Alain was born fourty six years ago today. We celebrate it in Quebec city with family and friends. Alain is going to Kuujjuaq in few days. The little family will miss you Alain! Happy Birthday!!

April has arrived already and we had our first day of spring today. It rained almost all day; if it was not raining it was grey with thick clouds. The snow was melting and the streets were full of water. If you did not wear rubber boots or high heels you had wet feet today. The weather reminded me of the north in spring where everyone is wearing rubber boots. Missing the north right now.

Avirl est déjà arrivé et on a eu notre première journée de printemps aujourd'hui. Il pleuvait presque toute la journée; si il pleuvait pas c'était gris avec beaucoup de nuages. La neige fondait et les rues avaient beaucoup d'eau. Si tu portais pas des bottes en caoutchou our des talons hauts tu avais surement des pieds mouillés aujourd'hui. La température me faisait pensée du nord durant le printemps ou tout le monde porte des bottes en caoutchou. Le nord me manque. 

Amanda Levina was born at 12:28 pm at Ungava Tulattavik hospital. At birth she weight 7 lbs 12 ounces. Her sanajik Sarah Pasha Annanack was there escorting Rita to the hospital. While I was alone at the hospital; she was there to support me. Amanda's father got to the hospital at 1:30 pm an hour after her birth. Happy Birthday Amanda!!

 Amanda Levina est née a 12:28 hrs à l'hôpital Tulattavik Ungava. Elle pesait 7 lbs et 12 onces. Son sanajik est Sarah Pasha Annanack était là avec sa fille Rita qui était à l'hôpital. Quand j'étais toute seule, elle étais là pour me donner du support. Le père d'amanda est arrivé à l'hôpital a 13:30 hrs, une heure plus tard après qu'elle est née. Bonne fête Amanda!!

Les jours ''fly by'' très vite ses temps si. On est déjà le 3 décembre 2007 aujourd'hui. Il reste 22 jours avant Noël. Pas beaucoup de jours après ça pour la fête de jour de l'an. J'ai des beaux souvenirs de Noël d'enfance. Des beaux souvenirs en générale de Kangiqsualujjuaq. Mais Noël est un temps spéciale car ça nous ramène plus proche et tout le monde sont au gymnase du 24 décembre au 2 janvier tous les soirs. On voient des gens qu'on aurraient pas vue si on restaient à la maison. J'ai bien hâte de voir ma famille et les amis durant la fête de Noël. 

The days are flying by so fast these days. We are already December 3rd 2007. We have 22 days left before Christmas. Not many days left for new years celebration also. I have beautiful memories of Christmas as a child. Well, beautiful memories in general in Kangiqsualujjuaq. But Christmas is a special time because it brings us closer and everyone is at the gym from December 24th to January 2nd everynight. We see people that we would not normally see if we stayed at home. I can't wait to see my family and friends during the Christmas holidays.

Christina Baron was born 65 years ago today. Christina is the mother of Annie and Saniliayuk. Grand mother of Amanda, Qirniulau Robert, Sivanau (late) and Scott. She is the daughter of Jessie Baron (Adoptive mother)(late). Her adopted sister is Pasha (late). She is the aunt of David, Saladie (late), Johnny and Willie from Pasha. Her bioligical parents are Sarah (late) and Johnny Baron(late). Her biological siblings are: Susie (late), Bobby, Tommy, Simeonie (late), Thomas, Mae, Mary and Vinnie.

Christina is a remarkable woman. She grew up with her sled and three dogs living with her mother and sister. Once they moved to the village she was working as a janitor at the school and bought her first ski-doo with her hard earned money. 

She later decided to apply for social worker in the village. She was social worker and took courses for that. She retired two years ago and is enjoying the life of being a grand mother of Scott and doing what she loves to do; sewing, preparing the fur to make clothes such as mitts, kamiit, parkas. She is very well known as a best sewer of mitts. I say that cause I have her mitts and she is my mother. Happy Birthday mom!! We love you!!

First day of October starts with a beautiful sunny day. The temperature announces 7 degrees celcius. It is not the hot 33 degrees celcis we had on some days the past summer. It is not the cold -20 we will get this winter either. The season of Fall is here! Youhou!!

La première journée d'Octobre commence avec un beau soleil. La température annonce 7 degré celcius. Ce n'est pas le 33 degré celcius qu'on avait quelque jours dans l'été. Ce n'est pas non plus le -20 qu'on va avoir durant l'hiver. L'autonme est là! YOUHOU!!!

Septembre est arrivé pas mal vite. Il me semble qu'on fêtait Noël et le jour de l'an à Kangiqsualujjuaq il n'y a pas longtemps du tout.
